Differences to other methods

Today I would like to explain, what the differences are between the common extensions and INtensions

• Wellgrow Intensions
  are the new way of extending hair. Fast and easy handeling, gentle fixing element, flexible, highly comfortable. They can be placed and removed without help of others.

• Bondings
  You need a lot of patience if you want to have bondings. It takes long time to fix them, very good care while wearing, and after several weeks you will need to get new ones or have yours removed and re-fixed, both taking plenty of time and money ...

• Stripes
  You can use stripes much faster, but there is glue needed and affixed to your hair. If you don´t place them properly they will not stay in your hair. You will have to remove that sticky material afterwards. A friend of mine couldn´t remove it properly and it stayed in her hair for 4 more days. ...

• Clip-in extensions
  are very fast to fix, but they use metal clips. Wearing them can cause lots of pain and hairs can get broken. There is always a lot of tension on the follicles as you mostly have long tresses being clipped to only little hair. I myself can´t wear them. After about 10 min. it hurts so bad I need to take them off again ...

Why are Wellgrow Intensions so perfect for Up-Dos?

We asked around our hairstylists and there is one thing everyone keeps telling us:
Wellgrow Intensions is the best method to do beautiful Up-Dos. But why is this so?

1. Flexible Styling
You can place the Intensions just the way you plan your hairstyle.
Think of the way you want the hair to lay and place the fixing element parallel to that. This way you will have a smooth feeling on the head.
With normal extension methods the bondings or tapes will always stick out or cause to much tension to the follicles.

Good news: You can make no mistakes at all!!! :) If you placed one Intension wrongly - never mind! Just open the fixing element, remove it and correct the position. This takes only a few seconds. Even if you got a new inspiration for a different hairstyle. GO FOR IT. You will not strain your hair. :)

3. No limits
There are no limits to your creativity!
Ever dreamed of a beautiful braided hairstyle, but your hair is too short, too thin? If it is chin-long you can use Wellgrow Intensions and in a short time you have an amazing braided hairstyle.

How to use Wellgrow Intensions

It´s as easy as this to attach Wellgrow INtensions. With a little practise you can use them without help.

1) Part the hair horizontally in the nape, pin the covering hair out of the way

2) Separate off a thin strand

3) Lightly backcomb the roots

4) Position the strand beneath the separated strand

5) Lay half the strand in the sealing device

6) Flap the other half over the top and press the two halves firmly together. You will fell the little hooks that provide a firm hold meshing into one another and closing. Then apply light pressure to match the strands to the curves of the head.

7+8) Position the next strand parallel to the first parting, offsetting each row from the previous one. Continue upwards in the same way

I would like to introduce to you today Carl Maria Oeffinger, german engeneer and inventor of Wellgrow INtensions

Engineer Carl M. Oeffinger worked at the department R & D personal care of Braun AG for many years and was one of the developers of the gas-powered curling iron (hairdresser on the road)
In 4 years of development, Carl Oeffinger now has developed a novel method of attachment for the hair industry. First he experimented with conventional hook and loop fasteners, but there were no satisfaying results.
Finally, the solution consisted of fine locking elements which are arranged structurally in a way that they penetrate the hair and can connect with themselves. The fixing element of the Wellgrow Extensions is extruded from polypropylene. The soft plastic is chemically inert and completely harmless. Thus no hair damage neither by heat, chemicals nor metals will occur.

„Hairextensions with Velco – will that work?

The secret was revealed by scientific studies. At the feet of a gecko there are microthin fibres (500 times thinner than human hair). This fibre generates a force of attracion towards the grounding, the socalled „van der Waals forces“. By the sum of many small forces, the gecko keep his body weight upside down from the ceiling.

The fixing element of Wellgrow Extensions also uses the sum effect of small forces. On one square centimeter of the fixing element there are 300 microscopic anchor-shaped closure elements that ensure in total a tight fit on the head. They are designed in such manner that they can connect with themselves and thereby penetrate the hair of the head."
